Muldaur began acting in high school and continued on through college, studying acting under Stella Adler. She made a name for herself on the New York stage before landing her first television role on the CBS daytime soap opera The Secret Storm in 1965.
Throughout her career, Muldaur appeared on various television shows including Bonanza, I Spy, Hawaii 5-0, and The Virginian. She also had a five-episode contract on Dr. Kildare and a two-episode arc on the Ben Gazzarra drama Run for Your Life.
